Jewish Federation of the Berkshires

196 South Street
Pittsfield, MA 01201
The mission of the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires is to build a strong and unified Jewish community in order to ensure the well-being and continuity of the Jewish people in Berkshire County and its environs, in Israel, and throughout the world. The Federation as a volunteer organization pursues its mission through fundraising, community-wide programming, supporting Jewish education and social services, developing leaders, advocating for social action initiatives, fostering communication and cooperation among Jewish organizations, and by building strong relationships with Israel and the community at large.

Programs are presented in North County at Congregation Knesset Israel and in South County once a month at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, year round. These programs are presented week days and are generally free and open to the public. Most programs do not require any kind of pre-registration. They provide a community service to Berkshire County residents by providing programs relating to the arts, health, culture, recreation, politics, Judaism and Interfaith topics. Large scale, community wide events are also presented by JFB and are held in various venues throughout Berkshire County throughout the year.
