The JCC Maccabi Games® are an Olympic-style sporting event that is held every summer for Jewish teens between the ages of 13 and 16. The first JCC Maccabi Games held in Memphis in 1982 welcomed 300 athletes.
Since their creation, the JCC Maccabi Games have grown from a small pilot project in one host community to an International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognized competition held each summer in multiple cities throughout North America. Through JCC Maccabi ArtsFest®, arts-loving Jewish teens can play, draw, sing, dance, film, write, perform—all with other Jewish teens who share their passions. Working with outstanding artists-in-residence, teens collaborate with other young artists while developing their talents with professionals.

As a Team Springfield participant, you will join more than 3,000 Jewish teens from across the Globe at this truly transformative teen engagement experience. You will experience marching in a Team Springfield uniform at the Olympic style Opening Ceremony before a crowd of 10,000 spectators. You will compete and collaborate with teens from other delegations, celebrate, party, and make new friends at evening social events.

This summer Team Springfield will travel to Orange County, California on Sunday, August 5th. For more information, please contact Tony Sendra at the Springfield Jewish Community Center. 413.739.4715 or by email: tsendra@springfieldjcc.org
